bers, trying to figure out what to do instead of getting hammered) I get on the plane to go to Alaska tomorrow. I’ll be working in a family owned fishing lodge on the Kenai peninsula. It’ll be the first time I’ve worked in 10 months.I’m really looking forward to getting back in the kitchen, and this is a really easy re-intro. As I will only be responsible for dinner service for twelve people (as well as purchasing and managing my enormous staff of 2 people) I’ll be spending as much time as possible doing Alaskan outdoor stuff ( hunting, fishing, rafting, kayaking, hiking) as I can. Fall Bear season isn’t till September and we have no bookings for the spring season, so I can get my sea legs a little before I have to boss a camp. Time to practice with that .454 Ruger!
I’m taking both a still and video camera, and will be documenting my experience as I go. Stop on by every once in a while and see if I’ve been et or not. My next post will be from the 49th. state!
